Lacrosse Case Doesn't End

Today Mike Nifong goes to jail for a day. Wow, why bother? Some of the defense attorneys for the players have filed a $30 million ($10 million for each defendent) civil suit on Durham, NC. I'm sure the taxpayers are loving this one! I wonder if the constituency that elected Nifong to his DA post has thought about this. Then again, a lot of those don't pay taxes anyway. It's the welfare group he won over, so what do they care?

I saw on the news last night that PAWS Atlanta has received four burnt dogs in the last five weeks. There are other shelters that have received these animals, as well. Seems to be a pattern of dogs' backs being set on fire. It's horrific, and law enforcement doesn't know exactly who the culprits are. It's more than disturbing to know that there are people roaming around out there that have this type of mentality (no humanity whatsoever).
