Can you believe it?

I totally agree with Blue lady on Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh. Just because I'm conservative doesn't mean I like all conservatives. I agree with their ideals, but as people, I don't like their styles. I've seen Ann on FOX News (perfect timing to promote her new book) and still don't see what others see in her. She doesn't justify her views with any substance, and yes, she does possess an arrogant attitude. I find her an embarrassment for the female gender, as well. I don't listen to Rush, but I know he is a blow-hard.

As for O'Reilly and Boortz, they do base their opinions on facts. You don't have to like their opinions, but when O'Reilly is called on something and is not positive about the facts, he has it researched to confirm them. If he is wrong, he apologizes, and I've seen him do it. Not often, because he usually has topics researched before he brings them up. He's one of the smartest of anyone on broadcast or radio news. He has spent his entire career as a journalist, and has had the experience of traveling all over the world.

Boortz is pretty much on target too. He's the only one that seems to have defined plans to solve some problems. His legal background at least gives him some insight on what is and isn't in the political world. I also like the fact that he is a card-carrying Libertarian and often raises the ire of conservatives as well as liberals. I wish others that bitched all the time would come up with some defined plans, not just flighty ideas. He bases most of his opinions on "common sense", something the general populace lost (if they ever had it) along the way.

If anyone took the time to read books these guys write, they may have a different opinion of them, who knows? I've learned quite a bit that you won't hear/see if you totally depend on the news.

I did click on the Huffington Post article about Hillary, but didn't get past the "abuse of detainees" line. That stopped me from wasting further time reading what is written by a brainwashed mind (one against our country and military). I am going to preview this book by Bernstein (he was on TV last week talking about Hillary) before buying it. I have read three about her and don't think there is anything new that I need to know. I'm NOT voting for a known Socialist. She literally tells people what she stands for. At least people know, and if they vote for her, they can't say they didn't know what was coming. She's quite open about her policies, and if you listen to her words, they wreak of Socialist/Communist speak. Then again, some women (not all, but some) will vote for her simply because she's a woman. Now that's intelligent!
