Regrouped
After regrouping from Blue Lady's character assasination yesterday, I feel compelled to rebuff some comments made and ask some questions myself.
First, as I mentioned in my post yesterday, I do have many friends from the North. Second, I also have a couple of girlfriends that did not complete college, thus not necessarily coming from a higher level of education. Not that I understand what any of these accusations have to do with the articles she responded to. Nevertheless, I'm not quite the uptight, discriminatory, prude, and bigoted individual that was insinuated. If I were, Blue Lady would not have been my friend over the last seven years, now would she? I dare say, we've been friends longer than many in Atlanta.
The idea of views being posted on this blog were to generate lively discussion. Let's get back to the points of the recent posts. Questions I have for Blue Lady regarding those posts are as follows:
1) Do you believe it's alright for universities to pull the reverse discrimination code of conduct by eliminating more qualified students because they're white?
2) Do you believe that militant blacks that hate white people can exercise their right to free speech and publish the hatred and vile names they call us, while white people can't say anything in a discriminatory manner without losing their jobs?
3) Do you believe that the so-called moderate Muslims entering this country, wanting exceptions made for them in the name of "Allah", should or should not stand with us in our fight against the radicals that would behead them as quickly as they would behead us?
Wouldn't you think these would be valid topics of discussion? Usually when one responds with a character assasination it's because they don't feel comfortable discussing topics. Thus comes the defensive stance of attacking the person posting, for no other reason than wanting to avoid those topics. Also, deep down, while there may be an element of truth to those postings, it's very difficult to imagine agreeing with someone that's politically incorrect. It's always easier to stray from the points themselves. As these cover the reverse discrimination issue, it's easier to make the poster look like the discriminator.
