I go along with the Imus thing to an extent. If he had directed his comments toward the likes of Jesse and Al, then I couldn't disagree with him. The fact that he targeted a group of innocent college girls was over the top. He had to be released because so many internal NBC employees (black) raised hell, so he had to go. I've never listened to him, as I don't listen to any talk radio (no time or patience with fools calling in). I know he is controversial. People have been fired for saying less, believe me. Then there are those that have said more vile things (does Rosie ring a bell) that continue onward in their vengeful ways. Can we allude to a more than double standard in the media? I do have to laugh at a couple of Blue lady's comments though.

1) Al Sharpton didn't get fired. Well, when did he or Jesse have a real job? They live off money their followers send them. If you don't work you can't get fired.

2) The last line, "Even Republicans can't argue with the power of money", continues to baffle me. How did this become a Republican topic? Why do most topics gravitate to the Republican agenda? Hell, I still have no explanation as to how the tragic bus accident that killed several students and couple of adults on I-75 had anything to do with the East Cobb (snobs) not riding MARTA. No sorrow whatsoever for that tragedy. Only a diatribe against those that don't want MARTA. Seems everything goes back to a deep-seeded resentment/envy/hatred of a particular group, while forgetting what the main topics or points of interests of discussions are.
