Hump Day Here Again

I have to say, now that the remainder of the victims of that horrific bus crash on I-75 are going home, I'm proud of the manner in which people in this city reacted. It was enlightening to see the Marriott Marquis providing rooms, along with Atlanta families opening their homes to families of the victims. I understand the staff at hospitals were excellent in attending these out-of-towners. It's a tragedy and occurring so far away from home doubles the magnitude of it. For everything that may be unsavory about this city, it's nice to know it comes together when something like this happens, and I'm proud of Atlanta this time around.

Went to a book-signing by Neal Bootz last night. I've never met him in person, but what a following he has! Nice, funny guy. I can't wait to read his latest book. I have about eight books waiting to be read, along with three I want to purchase. Unfortunately, they will have to be put on hold until March Madness is over. The ACC Tournament starts tomorrow, which precedes the NCAA Tournament (for those that don't know anything about basketball), and that always takes priority over other activities each March.
