Good Tuesday Morning from the Red Lady

It is a beautiful morning, like Spring here in Atlanta. I enjoyed reading the Blue Lady's response to my blog regarding The Culture Warrior. It is an example of why I feel compelled to let people who enjoy political conversations know what's going on, especially when they suddenly, "just don't care". Me thinks some are taking my share of "chill pills" along with theirs. Like I tell people that don't vote not to bitch, if you really don't care or don't want to know, why bother discussing? All kidding aside, I failed miserably in trying explain the connection of all these issues, thus each being analyzed on the surface vs. an in-depth fashion. The fabric of our society is being eaten away. The values this country was built on are erroding on a grand scale. It's taken decades and is a slow process, but a process nonetheless. I'll attempt to explain the meaning of each. Hopefully, I'll do a better job this time. Then again, reading the book goes into detail. I've only hit the topics. Keep in mind that all liberals aren't as extreme as the ones the media endorse. There are moderate liberals just as there are moderate conservatives. The only ideas we are exposed to are the ones thrown at us by the media. It's a good thing that in today's world we have other sources in which to gather our news, especially a popular place called Barnes and Noble.

The ACLU - Yes, we were all taught about what it wants us to believe. Public schools were on the decline even during our years of attendance. The liberal mindset was already in place. We just didn't know it at the time. I'm not going to explain what the ACLU's intention is, as I previously stated it, and that is a fact, since we're talking facts here. Lots of information on the Web.

George Lakoff - I stated who he is, along with some quotes. He is in a powerful role while influencing college students. He stands for the opposite of what this country was based on. He's not alone, statistics show that up to 80% of college professors are of a liberal stance in some universities. Why should you care? We may not have children ourselves, but we have a country that needs to be upheld to the standards and values it was founded on. It would be quite selfish of us not to care about our own country. O'Reilly coined the term, "secular-progressive", to define what some call the "intellectual elite". They are not a figment of anyone's imagination. I've heard and read the term in various entities. Bill may have coined it, but he certainly isn't the only one using it.

George Soros - I've found a ton of information on the guy. Look past Wikipedia. Just because you didn't find facts there doesn't mean much. I found a lot on him, and it all rings true to what has been written not only by O'Reilly, but in another book titled, "Do As I Say". Breaking the Bank of England is no excuse to get back at Bush and Thatcher. He did it for himself, pure and simple. BTW, aren't you a fan of Thatcher's?

Peter Lewis - just another one in league with Soros. Point I was trying to make - watch where you put your money. You never know where it's going or what's being supported with it.

New York Times - Whether or not the guy has appreared on O'Reilly is insignificant. He wrote a good book that explains exactly why the general media cannot be trusted with the facts.

Sorry, but Christmas does matter, and commericalization is NOT the point here. The fact that it is the most celebrated holiday around the world, means something. For retailers, who love the commercialization for profits, to try and take away the word "Christmas" in advertising to appease the minorities, is nothing but hypocrisy at its best. They don't mind taking the money from Christians, but don't mention "Christmas". Fortunately, it's backfired with profits being down year before last. In terms of separation of church and state, why then, in NYC, school systems can allow religious symbols of the Jews and Muslims, but NO nativity scenes? Wasn't this country founded on Christianity? This is an example of what I'm talking about, others can come in and have what they want, but if you're a Christian, beware. Another way of separating faith and values from the people. Once that's accomplished, government influence can more easily take its place. Do I see a pattern of Socialism here?

Parental control - My point wasn't discussing the blight of kids today with broken homes, etc. It was the influence of the public school system over what they're being taught. Parents are losing the right to have an opinion of what's being taught. First, we're failing in basic studies in comparison to other industrialized nations. Kids aren't just being taught self-esteem now, but sex-ed at 6 & 7 years old. I'd have a fit if my child were being taught about gay relationships, especially at that age. That's a topic that clearly lies with the parents, not the schools.

Sex offenders and murderers of children - I don't get what you don't get about this.

Education - yes, you're correct, I am bitching about it. BTW, people that put their children in private schools also pay taxes for public education. They're not exempt from it. They're paying more than you or me. The only way the school system is going to get better is to remove it from government control. Your concerns about schools' influence over kids is a double-edged sword. See above at what they're being taught in public schools. People would know what schools are about and have a choice as to where they want them to attend. Schools would have to compete (God forbid, the American way), and they would be better for it. Reward teachers like companies do their employees, and they'll do a better job. This tenure thing has got to go. Everyone is being treated as equals, and some are much better than others. Why would you work any harder, knowing you're getting paid the same as a teacher that hardly shows up for classes?

The black populace - the point being, this racial divisiveness is another way the S-Ps are trying to further divide our society. As for Sir Charles, he would be a much better influence on his race if they would listen to him instead of continuing to look for excuses (blaming whites) for all their problems. It's getting really old! Problem is, they don't want to work at making their lives better, while living in a time where they are exposed to a plethora of information and assistance that is provided to help them out of poverty. BTW, have you listened to him speak about the plight of inner-cities? How about Bill Cosby?

Oh good, let's slam Ronnie Reagan while we're at it! I'll bet Hitlary is thinking the same thing, now that some of "their" former benefactors have put their money behind another candidate. Wonder where Babs Streisand will put hers? Unfortunately, a large number of people actually form their opinions of serious matters on how the Hollywood elite feel. They're too ignorant and lazy to form opinions on their own, so let's see what they do in La La land. I blame the populace for this, and no I don't give a damn what the idiots that can act say. A lot of them didn't even get out of high school, not to mention further their education. They may have a right to their opinions, but considering how influencial they are, most are not at the top of the intelligence scale.

Let's go over divisiveness - I don't care for some of the far right-wingers myself. Some would rather hear themselves talk than anything else. I can see that. I can say though, you don't have the right-wing side trying to turn this country into a Communist state. That's where the difference comes in. Our country is becoming a cesspool in many ways, and if we continue to "chill" as a society, what we've known as a free world will be gone, as it's disappearing while we're sitting back saying, "Why do I care?"
