Good Monday Morning!
As all of you know, I read quite a bit and pass on a plethora of information. I’ve become extremely concerned and passionate about the state of our society. Please let me know if you don’t want to receive it, and I’ll discontinue sending it. Then again, if you don’t have the time to read and want me to be the bearer of news, I certainly don’t mind. It keeps you from having to do it!
I’ve made some notations from a book I’ve just finished. There are great points made, and I can tell you they’re documented, as they’re from Bill O’Reilly in his latest book, Culture Warrior. Now, you may or may not like Bill, but his work has been researched, and facts are facts. You have the right to form your own opinions regarding the facts, and may even disagree with him. Some of these topics and statistics I feel are important. Most I’m already aware of, but he brings them to light in a direct fashion.
1) The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) – Most people believe this organization was designed to ensure and protect your civil liberties; far from the truth. Roger Baldwin, one of three founders in 1920, clearly stated this: “I am for socialism, disarmament, and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion. I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal.” It was, and is, an openly radical group, but quickly realized its mistake in announcing their goal. Therefore, it’s disguised as a patriotic authority designed to protect you, the American citizen. I don’t think there’s need to further elaborate. I’ve read much more about the ACLU, but if you don’t get the point of the quote, there’s no amount of explaining that will benefit you. BTW, the ACLU is now headed by Anthony Romero, and openly gay activist that is hell-bent on bringing down the traditional Judeo-Christian society of the U.S.
2) The philosopher of the secular-progressive movement, George Lakoff, a professor at U of C at Berkeley (that explains a lot) – Here are some of his quotes:
· “There is no such thing as a self-made man.” (All success is due to social assistance).
· “The United States has systematically promoted a terrorism of its own.”
· “In the ‘nurturant’ parent model, discipline arises not from painful physical punishment, but through the promotion of responsible behavior via empathetic connection.” (Translation: Lakoff would outlaw spanking). Sounds like that council woman in CA, Lieber, and her proposal to outlaw spanking.
· “In the ‘nurturant’ form of religion, your spiritual experience has to do with your connection to other people and the world.” (This meant the “higher power” concept is out; atheism is in and would be endorsed by the government).
Lakoff is a strong proponent of the idea that the affluent owe everybody else, with the government being the responsible body for income redistribution and seizure of private property. There are several other topics that involve Lakoff, but too many to cover. Reading the book is a good idea.
3) George Soros – No need for details here, look him up under Google, and you’ll get more than you’ve bargained for. You’ll read his biography (he wasn’t born in this country) and how he’s made billions (not by providing jobs and contributing to the economy) by being convicted of insider trading in France and all but toppling the economy of the UK and part of Asia. Now here’s a proponent of more taxation for citizens, but operates a lucrative real estate company from Bermuda where he can AVOID U.S. taxes himself. He has ties to terrorist enablers, is an atheist, promotes racial discord, gay activism, the dumbing-down of our school system, and anything that is divisive to this country, Mr. moveon.org himself. As I said, you can get the bio from the Internet.
4) Peter Lewis (joined with Soros in creating moveon.org) – Chairman of Progressive Insurance Corporation. I’m going to start investigating any company that takes my money!
5) The New York Times – You can read a book titled, “Journalistic Fraud”, about the Times, an eye-opener for sure. One example of the hypocrisy that Bill describes is the following: Remember the Danish newspaper that published political cartoons mocking the prophet Muhammad? The Times refused to print them so as not to offend the Islamic world. These cartoons caused riots and deaths all over the world. What the Times did print is a picture of Mary, the mother of Jesus, covered with dung. This is the picture that caused controversy when it appeared in the Brooklyn Museum in 1999. Was this not offensive to Christians? Yes, it was, but the Times doesn’t care. Another fine example of hypocrisy!
6) We all know about the Christmas holiday uproar of a little over a year ago. Once traditionalists joined forces and stopped purchasing at stores that no longer acknowledged “Christmas” and called everything that pertained to Christmas something else, seasonal sales took a dive, and rightly so. Turning the ultimate holiday that makes this country what it is, not only for Christians, but what gives everyone the right to worship as they wish, into a “feel good” and non-offensive measure was the last straw for most. It didn’t take but one season of that nonsense to see that retailers’ largest profits were going to decline if they kept that madness up. With the word “Christmas” back to where it’s supposed to be, all is well with our commercialization of Christmas again, and to think that, we, the big bad capitalists, are not the only country to celebrate it!
7) Diminishing parental authority over their children – another ACLU beauty! Such as in Nazi Germany with the Hitler youth and Mao’s Children’s Corps in Red China, the ACLU promotes divisiveness between parents and children in order to influence children into the secular progressive movement. This has been going on for decades in universities and has trickled down the line into elementary schools. As O’Reilly says, “control the children and you control the future”. One example given in the book is of a 17-year old thug that robbed an elderly lady in L.A. He phoned his 14-year old girlfriend and bragged about what he had done. The mother of the girl (had been having problems with her anyway) turned the speaker phone on in the other room and heard the whole conversation. In doing this, she was able to go to law enforcement and have him brought in. Good, the little thief had been caught. Guess what, an attorney for the ACLU stepped in and declared that the mother had no right to eavesdrop on her child, thus setting the thug free. The strategy is to mentally separate children from their parents. This is becoming a dangerous trend.
8) There is a section regarding the release of known and repeated sex offenders/murderers of children. I will say this, O’Reilly was on Oprah a couple of days ago (the segment was re-aired on the O’Reilly Factor the next evening). I’ve not seen him so flaming angry at liberal judges about anything, and he can get angry! Vermont and Massachusetts are the worst two states for allowing this to happen. Then again, Vermont is the state that elected Howard Dean as their governor five times, and we’ve seen him in action. He’s even embarrassed his own! An example of how horrific this has become, in 1997, a 10-year old was kidnapped from his yard by two men, sexually abused, and his corpse thrown into a river. This took place in Massachusetts. One of the perp’s diaries was entered into evidence during the trial. It stated that NAMBLA (North American Man-Boy Love Association) explains how to act out fantasies on young boys. One of their publications is titled: The Survival Manual: The Man’s Guide to Staying Alive in Man-Boy Sexual Relationships”, describing how to impose yourself into a child’s life and how to get away with molestation. Doesn’t get any sicker than that! The family filed a $200 million law suit against NAMBLA. Enters the ACLU’s defense of NAMBLA in this case, in an effort to protect NAMBLA’s “free speech”.
9) Bill mentions this in John Stossel’s book, “Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity”, and I read it last year. It covers why the S-Ps don’t want school vouchers for children whom otherwise would not have a chance to go to a school where they can get a good education. They would rather keep the masses under the control of the government-taught “feel good” curriculum. In D.C., $10,000 is spent per year per student. D.C. Catholic schools spend approximately ¼ of that on each student. 98% of graduates from Catholic schools go on to college, whereas almost 40% of public school kids never get out of high school. BTW, this has nothing to do with race or class. When reading Stossel’s book, they did an experiment and put inner-city poor black kids in a private high school. Even in mid-stream, their grades jumped exponentially, and they went on to college. Just an example of how poorly-run the public school system is. As Neal Boortz stated on television the other night, we need to worry about something in this country even more than Islamic terrorists, and that’s the Teacher’s Union, the most powerful union in the country.
10) People believe blacks are more S-P, but they tend to be more traditionalists, even when the are bamboozled into voting for the left-wing that continually promises them what they want and don’t deliver. Nevertheless, stats show that 75% believe the S-P push too hard to keep religion out of schools and government. One thing I’ve known black people to be committed to, and that’s their faith. Only 17% want to legalize gay marriage. They may be racist toward white people, but they are still traditionalists. They seem to have more in common with us than they’d like! They also don’t want drugs legalized, as the ACLU has been trying to invoke for a long time. They’ve seen what drugs do to their society, bringing poverty and deprivation. Out-of-wedlock birth rates for blacks are a whopping 70%. Now, drugs aren’t the only blame for this, but a large part of it. Bad behavior and irresponsibility are included, as well. This is where the likes of Bill Cosby and Charles Barkley come into play. Too bad they’re disavowed as “Uncle Toms”, but what can you do when people don’t want to hear the truth or take responsibility for their own lives. Making excuses is much easier.
11) Hollywood – forget any discussion there. S-Ps to the max, as they live in their own world.
These topics are the highlights of the book and cover current issues rather well. The one objective of the book is to have people realize one thing: The S-P agenda is being integrated into every aspect of society. Divisiveness is the goal here. If we remain divided about pulling together in the war, we are playing right into the hands of radical Islam. We may not all agree on how things are being done, but when you look at history and how empires are turned into totalitarian societies, it’s usually not by physical war itself. The demise starts from within. You don’t have to be an extremely religious person to understand the difference in good and evil. Basic instinct and human nature can see the difference. Evil is continuing to dissolve the basic values this country was founded on, and it’s more than disturbing to see our own citizens comply with those that want to see it brought down. We’re not a perfect country, but you still won’t find one any better to live in. As Tony Blair stated when a member of Parliament asked him why he continues to support the U.S., “the measure of a country is by the number of people wanting to get in and the number of people wanting to get out”. Unfortunately, we have too many trying to get in and not enough trying to get out.
See, now you know I’ve been doing something other than watching basketball this Winter. I’ll report on my next book, “America Alone”, when I’m done with it.
