Some will continue to accuse me of women-bashing, but this is an article based on facts and stats. I've always said that women have choices, but they need to make the decisions that come with them. This affects everyone in the workplace, both men and women.
While we are on the subject of women, it's time for some insensitivity. New Labor Department data shows that women are still absent nearly twice as often as men in the workplace. Plain and simple: women call in sick more often than men.
Kyle-Anne Shiver is good, and she's right on the mark with this one!
Hillary's Gender SpinKyle-Anne ShiverI never thought I would see a day when I could agree with anything coming from the pens of Maureen Dowd and Kate Michelman. But on Hillary Rodham Clinton, we all see eye to eye. More
Awarding the Nobel for Flawed Science is a disgraceNovember 06, 2007It has been less than a month but already the glow from Al Gore's Nobel Peace prize is tarnished. More
I often wonder why my generation is so removed from the values we were raised with. This is an attempt to explain it.
Suzanne Fields: Permanent Adolescents Go Public
Adolescence didn't vanish, it triumphed. The "never trust anyone over 30" generation became the generation that insists everything is due them once they're over 60.
Mike Adams is one of my favorites, as he's right in the middle of academic administrators every day and experiences the issues he's up against. Good information.
Mike S. Adams: First Amendment Heroes
I hope my readers will join me in this first installment of a new column series recognizing First Amendment heroes who are helping us turn the tide against thought control on our nation?s college campuses.
Lee Culpepper: Huckleberry Finn and ?Muslim? Jim
The latest politically correct attempt to feign offense over The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (which unleashes Mark Twain?s piercing wit and bitter criticism of society) is currently smoldering in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Dennis Prager: Dear Senator Dodd: Education Is Not the Answer to Every Problem
There are, of course, links between education and professional success, between education and the ability to read and write. And obviously we need well-educated people in order to be able to compete with other countries. But for at least the few generations in the Western world there has been no link between higher education and human decency.
Cal Thomas is another of my favorites.
Cal Thomas: Immigration Wars
A federal judge in San Francisco has temporarily prevented the Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration from using mismatched Social Security data to penalize employers who hire illegal aliens. The decision came as welcome news to the AFL-CIO, various "immigrants' rights" groups and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce who are behind a lawsuit that claims the federal government's actions are a violation of the law.
Hopefully, women have learned something from the 60's and the beginning of the sexual revolution. I, among others I know, have experimented with our sexual "independence", and guess what, none have turned out too fulfilled as we were told by the ground-breaking feminists of that time. Maybe it explains why so many in middle-age are not happy with their outcome and/or living while medicated in order to deal with it. Fortunately, as history has shown, women and men differ - thank God.
Carol Platt Liebau: How Our Sex-Obsessed Culture is Hurting Young Women
When our culture tells girls that sexual decision making comes down to nothing more than 'if it feels good, do it,' they become pressured to conform to a sexy ideal that?s as unwholesome as it is difficult to attain.
