Gingrich for President???
Yes, he said he might do it. ABC news and others report that he is thinking strongly about running for President. He's already pulled an Obama, coming out with some of his dirty deeds and owning up to them (sorta) before announcing his plans so the press won't jump all over him. But I don't think he stands a chance. He's a hypocrite first of all, and he's a divider instead of a uniter. He spins words to make bad things sound good. So what is he really saying? His 'Contract with America' back in the day, I thought was a joke. Now, I'm not a law student, but I took some business law in college and sometimes a contract isn't written, it's implied. Isn't being elected to a specific office an implied contract? So why did he have to make all that noise with a 'contract with America' when infact, there already was a contract that they weren't enforcing anyway? Remember he closed down the federal government for a month to get his own way, instead of working with the President to solve the budget crisis. (Seems he lost a lot of respect, and his job, soon after that, didn't he??)
And they hypocrasy thing speaks for itself. While he's calling for the ousting of his boss (the President of the United States, Bill Clinton) for being an adulterer, he himself was diddling one of his staff members. Did anyone ask him if he'd done her on his desk and 'dessecrated' his public office furniture? This behavior coming from someone who pushes the 'Family Values' envelope. I'm glad not all married couples believe in his values.
I think with the holier-than-thou climate in the press and with some vocal voters today, someone who did cocaine back in the day when he was younger is more forgiveable than a Middle-aged 2 (or more) time adulterer.
