Good Friday morning!

I want to correct a word I misspelled yesterday in my haste to get through typing. Obsurd is actually absurd! How absurd of me! In response to the Red lady's blog yesterday, I don't believe we're trying to make anyone think the way we do. The middle east has an entirely different culture than we do. We only want them to be able to rule on their own, without having a horrible dictator that kept them down. One of the reasons they do have more opportunities, such as education and a growing economy, is because of the lack of a brutal dictator. It's not because we're forcing our ways onto them. Hopefully, they will be able to continue on and sustain freedoms they've come to enjoy. We have to be cautious of Iran, as if they get into Iraq, our work will have been in vain to help those people. They will also have another location in which to deploy their terrorist tactics.

On another topic, while listening to the news this morning, I kept hearing about the "holiday" weekend and didn't know what holiday we have coming up. After looking at the calendar, I was reminded of President's Day. Why would people forget that one? Simply because it's not important anymore, and that's a true shame! We don't even honor the two greatest presidents we've had (especially the one that determined our freedom). Seems we don't really care about how we got here or where we came from, as long as we get what we want, when we want it. Why does our history matter? We're too busy making MLK Day the God-almighty (no pun intended) celebrated holiday. Here's a man with a shady history, at best, and the government would have you believe he's the greatest thing that's come since Jesus Christ. Oh, let me take that back since our government would rather eliminate any mentioning of Christ or Christian activities. Anyway, I'll be working that day, just as I do on the King day.
