This is quite interesting, but doesn't surprise me.
What are Muslim countries Googling on the Internet? You'd be surprised to find out ... or maybe not.
This is what happens with the demise of common sense. Typical government mentality, if you're not able to do your job well, then go to extremes in an effort to appear that you know what you're doing. No wonder kids are so screwed up, between parents and schools, they're doomed from the get-go.
Are government schools sending too many children to court for simple disciplinary matters? Thank you zero-tolerance policies.
Seems the election of a conservative leader in France is having more positive effects. Perhaps others will start speaking up and stop hiding from the forces that threaten them.
Well someone had to do it. Spanish King Juan Carlos told Hugo Chavez to "shut up" during a summit of leaders from Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
Another example of "selective" free speech.

A Soldier's Sacrifice (a poem)November 11, 2007This poem is dedicated to Sergeant Aaron C. Elandt, who fell in battle on 30 May 2004, as well as to the millions of American Fighters who paid and are paying for our freedom with their lives and sprits. More
Michael Franc: SCHIP's Path for Illegal Immigrants
Amid all the chaos on Capitol Hill -- a possible vote to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney one day, shenanigans over the annual spending bills the next -- one constant has been the prolonged, backroom negotiation over the State Children?s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP).
This is a hoot! He describes the feelings of many of us out here.
Doug Giles: Hillary Will Kill Your Cat
Listen, my persnickety friends on the Right: You can bust a nut over the various serious and not so serious foibles and philosophies of Rudy, Romney, Fred and John, but for moi the Republican gentleman who gets our party?s nod, whoever he is, will get my vote come November ?08.
Interesting take on the mortgage situation.
Star Parker: How to limit home ownership for the poor
The Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2007 has passed out of Chairman Barney Frank's House Financial Services Committee. It's now headed to the full House for a vote. In the name of protecting the poor from market predators it will in actuality protect the poor from wealth.

Rachel Mengele Marsden was NOT fired as the result of some vast, left wing conspiracy spearheaded by an obscure American blogging club.
She was dumped reportedl due to ENDLESS local reader and advertiser complaints, from ACROSS the spectrum, libertarian to conservative to "blue" liberal...even many neocons objected to her erratic and transidelogical pro-torture tripe...she was deemed an embarassment to the neocon side, to put it bluntly.
And it wasn't like her prose and grasp of facts were anything to write home about -- or publish in one of Canada's leading newspapers.
Well, if Canada's leading newspapers are like this country's, then it's understandable as to why she got fired. It's pretty simple, if you disagree with an editor's views, then you're done. If you have something to post that explains her firing other than what is documented in this article, please do so. I'd enjoy reading it.
Oh, I wouldn't call the Daily Kos an obscure club. They've certainly been in the news in the recent past.
